Racial disparities in healthcare

The EPA defines environmental injustice as a  “disproportionate share of negative consequences resulting from industrial, municipal, or commercial operations.” 
In 2017, 810 women died every day in childbirth. While 94% lived in middle or low-income countries, the US had its share.
Race may once, long ago, been a stand-in for some perceived biological quality, but as the Human Genome project pointed out almost a decade ago, race is not a biological property; it has no genetic code.
