 Josh Bloom has done an excellent job of explaining the toxicity of vinyl chloride, the main chemical released from the train.

The residents of East Palestine, Ohio, have more than enough to worry about. A train wreck with black fumes of burning chemicals pouring from a tank is frightening enough.

The media has used predictable scare tactics in covering the East Palestine train derailment, subsequent fire, and release of vinyl chloride and its combustion products.
