In the 1970s, Larry Bazel, J.D. investigated water-quality issues as a consultant to the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Science Foundation.  In the 1980s, he graduated from the Hastings College of the Law, University of California San Francisco and now practices environmental law and litigation.  He has represented everyone from state and local governments and environmental groups to private individuals and small and large companies.  He practices at Briscoe Ivester & Bazel LLP in San Francisco.
